Lazy Unenthusiastic Admin. Websites - ASA / USSSA

by bluebetty » Tue Nov 03, 2009 1:28 pm

Why is the ASA & USSSA (and NSA for that matter) management and website administrators so lazy or unenthusiastic about posting results ??? Thanks goodness for Heybucket. Thanks John !!!

ASA website is especially cumbersome and archaic with almost no information, yet the most expensive I might add.

TripleCrown does it right. Unfortunately they are losing the better teams at Nationals to ASA.

On a parallel subject we played in the 16U USSSA Halloween Havoc a week and half ago. For pool play we were scheduled 8am, 12:30 and 4:30 while a couple other teams played 3 straight. That's either favoritism or laziness. Where am I going wrong ???

What' the solution ???

Luck of the Irish I guess.

Not sure what the solution could be unless you start your own organization and then you are the man in charge of the schedule. :D

All you can ask for is that everyone gets a similar schedule. That is a horrible schedule they gave you :!:

The USSSA website does a pretty good job of listing scores and results from tournaments. You can easily pull up a teams record in all past USSSA tourneys. The worst organizational website has got to be AFA So Cal. There are never any results posted from their events. They just put on a Halloween tournament in Walnut and I couldn't even find out who won, let alone any results. They post every day on eteamz trying to get you to sign up and pay $600, and then after the tourneys starts, it is like their computor must have broke.

I think that Walnut tournament is hosted by mirage every year, and they are the ones posting on eteamz.
the results are on their website:

question: did your team go, and if so, was it worth the $600?
That's a pretty steep price for a tournament, but i guess it's the going rate for showcases in socal...
Deserve's got nothin' to do with it.

We went last year and it was a good tournament. I have no problem with the job Mirage does hosting, I just think AFA can do a little more with their website. Thanks for the link to the results, I was just curious as to how teams are doing. Is Mirage & Mirage Elite two different organizations?

i was wondering the same thing...when you search on eteamz, it looks like some of the mirage teams are from walnut, but others are not...
