Hallowfest tournament...what are they thinking

This tournament is usually pretty decent for an early fall look at teams. Went to their site and see the entry fee is $600.
I hope this isn't a trend for the upcoming year. What's next, $75/game friendlies?

If this is the AFA Tournament in Walnut which I'm pretty sure it is, they are still looking for teams....I would be anxious to see how many teams are actually signed up for this....That is way too much money, especially for AFA.....AFA should be half priced or at least cheaper than USSSA and TCS!

I have been to this tourney in past years and it is typically well run, but I have to agree $600 is a little high. Regardless of the organization, ASA, TCS, AFA, or USSSA, you still have the same expenses of fields use fees, umpires, etc.

They are floating a test balloon early in the year to see what the market will bear... if this tournament fills up, look out... everybody else will start cranking up their fees.

The most effective way to combat this is to not go. Don't go! DO NOT GO!

City goverments in So Cal continue to crank up their fees for facility use especially for travel/club sports. Get used to it. I am sure $75.00 per game friendlies are not far off either.
