Same place, and maybe same trip as that tuna I'm holding up in that pix ... the Gulf Stream off of the NJ Coast ... the Sword-Fish was, for that year, a record ... I want to say it took over 2 -3 hours to land it on a Tuna rod ( no chair, maybe some gimbel belts involved though )... it wore out several anglers and mates ... it was in to the ship several times and ran again ... on the last time it was brought in, we had gotten into a school of tuna and lines got tangled ... my Buddies line went dead and the Mates figured it was lost ... everyone was bummed out ... a few minutes later the Sword floats to the top on the other side of the ship, worn out ... they gaffed it, but this ship doesn't have a crane on it ... it took every mate plus some anglers with gaffs and ropes to get it in the ship ... I have been itching to go fitching but haven't made it yet this Spring ... blaa blaaa blaa....work etc. ... but a few Buddies went out Stripper fishing on Saturday

...Just as a side note to put the picture in scale ... the guy all the way on the right is 6-7", the guy on the left is his son who is freakin' huge ...

Were you hunting for strippers or fishing for stripers? Or did you go for strippers after you landed those stripers?

:lol: Knowing these guys as I do ... especially the short guy in the middle... They probably went for strippers then stripers then strippers on the way home ... :lol:
