Coin Flip

I watched a high school tourney this week, had some good teams and some horrible teams. Their were a couple teams that were undefeated. When it got down to the finals one team gave up no runs #1 seed, two teams gave up 4 runs. The way the determined who was the #2 seed was by a coin flip. So #1 and #2 play for the title #3 and #4 play for 3rd.

Same in ASA code - if all things are equal (win loss runs head to head etc), seeding is by coin flip.

I dont know about the tournament you were in - in ASA there is a list of things with the last one being coin flip. (note that would be only for ASA CHAMPIONSHIP PLAY) and runs scored is on there - if a regular tournament wants to have a burger eating face off to determine the winner, that is perfectly acceptable.

Especially if you have the kind of luck I do....I lose the coin flip so MUCH that I now ask for the other coach to call it every time and just hope for the best.....During one stretch last year I lost the coin flip 4 weeks in a row x 3 games per week....YIKES!

Lost 12 in a row? The odds against that must be astronomical....If you get on one of those runs during football season, I'll take you to Vegas, sit you down in the nearest Sportsbook and let you pick games, then I'll go the other way
