I'm not justifying what he did....but......what would expect would happen if you spit in the face of a 25 year old man?

I am a 55 year old sage and could likely control my immediate reaction. Not sure if I could say the same as a testosterone loaded 25 year old. It could have been an immediate reaction to the highest form of disrespect that can be given to a young man.

On the other hand, it could be his normal behavior. All I am saying is that she contributed negatively to the situation she placed herself in.

Are you claiming that women have no control over the frequency nor the level of domestic violence? Interesting theory. They are always victims.

Thats funny because the last I checked, they want equal pay for possibly equal work....they want to be be placed on the battlefield as equals with their male soldiers....they claim they are equal in every way. I think you are giving them little credit for their collective lots in life.

Softball spin (since this is a softball site):

One need look no further than recent events in this sport to see assault go unpunished.

A few years back during a game at a tournament at Diamond Valley in Hemet a very prominent softball coach went into the opposing team's dugout and choked an opposing coach in front of players and parents. He was neither charged with a crime nor was he punished in any way by the travel organization he was with or any other entity. He was later asked to leave by that org's leader, but not because of that incident. But don't fret, the poor chap was given a second chance by one of the most prominent orgs around and given his own branch in San Diego when they decided to expand.

Most everyone knows by now about my second example with the pitcher intentionally hitting the umpire. I have still not heard of any repercussions at all for anyone involved.

The truth is I don't see anything changing as far as the travel softball world. Maybe someday if something dire happens and there's some litigation (money talks) then something will change.

Nobody is talking blame....again....you seem to lack the grasp of the difference between blame and responsibility. This woman is clearly, at least minimally, responsible for what happened to her.

Just because there is no good reason for a man to hit a woman doesn't mean that good people don't put themselves in situations where a person loses control for an instance. Thats all it takes.

Are you sure you're not a woman? You perpetuate the victim mentality of the women by allowing them to skirt responsibility for their actions. Cops go to homes on domestic dispute calls....to the same homes....over and over and over.....the woman doesn't leave. When does her situation become her own responsibility? When do we say that enough is enough....both ways. After all, we are equals.
