No one blocked him........but what a hit.

I was at the Rose Bowl Game yesterday, typical beautiful California New Year's Day, a little cold though, low 50's. Burrr! I was glad a PAC 12 team won, exciting first quarter, defense the rest of the game.

No question Clowny is a stud and that was a major league hit. Obviously wish the Michigan O line didn't blow the blocking scheme on that play, but was really happy with the job they did overall vs Clowny. The NFL bound OT Lewan only allowed him 2 other tackles all game, a mighty impressive job vs the future #1 draft pick.

While it was tough watching the Maize and Blue lose at the end, I thought they did a great job in a very exciting game, especially with a wide out playing QB much of the season. They took pne of thebetter SEC teams to the wire, and im good with that for this season. Really excited for when Hoke gets a more traditional pro-style QB under center. Big Blue is on their way back :)

They are on the way back I don't think they lost a game at home this year did they? I think they were 8 and 5 which isn't bad but I think they are better than 8-5. All I know for the first time in a decade I got to wear my Irish hat with a little pride. They squeaked by Pit, beat Stanford on a bad call had a few other close games during the year and now have to face Bama for the big show.

Happy New Year to you and they kid

Thanks, and same to you and your family.

I'm pulling for the Irish too, it always takes some good breaks to make it all the way to the 'ship, and it should be a good game, especially when you consider the SEC hasn't been very overwhelming in bowl games this year.

Go Irish!

Wow, Anon's first post in 49 weeks?! Good to hear from you.

Big Blue had a good season, but they need to get better to catch up with Urban Meyer at tOSU.

Sorry Irish fans, your best chance is for ND to cover the spread (+9.5/10). Bama has shown they're prepared to play these BCS championship games.

How do you prepare when you don't have Jesus on your practice squad? :D

 I guess the SEC makes up for it with the Bible Belt.

Good stuff. I was actually wondering what ever happened to you, Anonlooker. You've been MIA for quite some time.

On a couple of side notes, a kid my son played HS football with last year down here at LCC in San Diego was a freshman this year at Michigan (Eric Magnuson). Are you familiar with him, Anon?

Also, speaking of the Irish, I have shamelessly name-dropped this particular young man before, but one of my very best friends from my college days at UH Manoa is WR Robby Toma's dad. His mom was also a good friend.

Go Irish!

My heart says ND
but logic says Bama

We need Touchdown Jesus to help on this one.

You would think bama is the much better team but Bama didn't blow everyout all year either.

As long as ND gives them a game it will be a successful season. After what I had to watch for the last few years and listen to all the USC boys jawing every weekend I am happy they are playing for a title.

Ya anonlooker now that I think of it where have you been?
