by NumeroUno » Sat Oct 20, 2012 7:52 pm

Huntington Beach had quite a few schools last night and today. The weather was nice and cool and the softball was great as always.

gotta be thankful to be able to spend 12 hours at the field today, man does it beat working :D

I hope the girl that got hurt on field 1 is okay, if anyone knows let us know

We got down there early, it was still dark, the infield lights were on, fields groomed, lined, bases in, some light spilled over to the dark outfields where a list mist hung over the grass... It was like Field of Dreams, really amazing in the stillness, knowing within hours there would be hundreds of the best travel ball players in the country living their dream.

And the colleges were out in droves, big and small programs from all over the country. Today was what every showcase should look like. Great job by Surf City, with the NFCA camp and pink everywhere for Breast Cancer Awareness. You guys hit one out of the park today. :D

Too bad that at the other venues there were one or two college coaches all day. :x

We had a lot of schools at our fields. Some were just walking past and stopped others, written. Also helped that the fields on the otherside of the park seemed to have rain and we didn't get as much as they did.

We did do work of contacting many coaches but managed only to get few to show up. The Mission Viejo location was quite a far distance :o from main HB fields.

If the coaches weren't at your fields you may need to write better letters or post better video.
Or just vote for Romney, everything will be better once he is elected. :D

Did anyone go to any other Tournaments this weekend and last? Seems like more and more choices out there. Doesn't TC have some more coming up. How do you chose which ones to go too. Would be interested in how to pick one over the other.

You do whatever you need to get into Surfcity. So Cals Finest (which is now TC) and AFC in S.D. are also good. Everything else locally doesn't matter IMO. The best thing besides those are going to the schools camps directly.
