My opinion
He's not caught in the middle. If Cole had any balls he would have told KC where he could stick his threat. The 10 teams have already paid their money and weren't going anywhere (same for the Bombers last week). If they pulled out, what would they tell the parents that pay all that money for their kids to play. What would they tell the colleges that they told to come watch. KC: "Sorry Coach Murphy, I'm not going to play in the same park as McCorkle" Coach Murphy: "I don't understand, Isn't their pitcher going to A&M." KC "Yes coach, I'm not sure my players can hit her and I wouldn't want them to have a bad showing"
Honestly, I don't know what IG, SI, HP, E, or any other team that THINKS they are elite believes they have to gain by blackballing teams. Do they really think that college coaches aren't going to find out what they are doing. The 3 coaches they are messing with have plenty of college contacts, one was even a professional athlete. When the colleges see what type of individuals these "elite" coaches are, do you think they are going to respect the coach, or anything the coach tells them. There is no way this can bring anything positive to the organizations that are supporting this ban. Parents will soon to realize this, and players will disappear.
These so called "elite" coaches are actually nothing more than wanna be, has beens. Gold ball in the fall should be about showcasing and supporting all the girls. I wouldn't want my DD to play for anybody that puts himself ahead of any player. I have a feeling, I'm not alone.
Good luck IG, can't wait to see you on the field.
