Las Vegas St Paddys Day Blast 14u

by rukidding » Tue Mar 13, 2012 1:35 pm

I was surprised to say the least when I saw the Oro Valley Suncats (Az) beat Firecrackers Sota this weekend. Suncats are a solid young team of 98's 99's and a couple of 00's, but Sota is supposed to be a nationaly ranked powerhouse team.

Someone want to comment on how it went down?

That is the Sota "Spring Team", not the regular FC-Sota "nationally ranked" team. They are still a good team, but the spring team is a collection of players that are not playing HS ball from about 5 or so other different teams.

I was also wondering about that and that explains it completely, thanks.

Hats off to Anthony Sota and the rest off the staff for getting to the Semis with a new group of girls. I'm sure they'll get better and better as the play together more and develop chemistry.

Regardless of what team i had this past weekend hats off to Suncats. I had a strong team and they beat us with thier team. They were very impressive for a smaller team. Also USA Athletes were very impressive. USA SS made some amazing plays that kept them in the game. Both teams were very strong and surprised me. Both teams will make noise at PGF.
