Well I'm out of town until next week and I don't have great phone reception so what's going on in the softball world? I heard their has been a few tryouts all over the country. What's going on in your area? Who has picked up new players and who has lost players?

I'm hearing mixed reports that Lakewood has joined the Firecrakers org. Can anyone confirm????

I heard the same thing yesterday about the pitcher leaving, Wow 18G is a bit much for her everyone is always trying to make the jump early. She's a good pitcher but I think it's to big of a jump.

I heard Bri is going 18uGold too. If that's the case, pitching is locked up for Batbusters the next 4 years.

HS Freshman for OC Batbusters 18U

We are looking for exceptional incoming freshman for our younger team.

We are also interested in incoming HS sophomores and even the right 8th graders but freshman are our main focus.

This team will practice with our older 18U Gold team and be coached by the same 5 coaches as the older team.

They will play in all of the 18U recruiting showcases in both the fall and summer and we will decide which path to take for a National Tournament. This team will not play in GOLD Nationals in 2009. It is our intent that these players will become our Gold team in the future along with some young girls currently on our team.

We are not big fans of the strong trend of very young players being asked to verbally commit to colleges but we have to recognize that this is the norm at this time and if you are an exceptional athlete the sooner you prepare the better chance you will have to show your skills.

Pitching is the area we feel is the most likely to have sophomores but freshman are welcome. All pitching will be at 43'.

nancy and bri have to be the exception to the rule...im sure there are a few more out there that can make that jump as well...get those colleges to know your name now so when they can call, your number is already programmed in their cell phones...
