I am not ashamed of sharing the truth about Jesus and what he's done in my life and my entire families lives. This year our organization will start holding bible studies during game breaks at tourneys and friendlies. I left a great high school baseball team as coach to start a travel softball team for this very reason. How easy it is to get caught up in things of the world and forget about what is truley important in life. I would of agreed with many of the others who commented earlier but since I took the time to read the bible for myself and lived the life changing experiences the living word has done for me and others around me, I will continue to share GODS truth with anyone who is willing to listen. Try it for yourselves, read GODS word and see if it don't speak to your heart. Start with the gospel of John so you can understand who JESUS is and what HE did for all.
How selfish. All TB coaches have their own reasons for starting travel teams, though, so you're surely entitled.
As for the rest of what you said, IF it was all true, the need for the heavy indoctrination would not exist. But, because of the general selfishness of some people, they find it necessary to rob a great percentage of children of the chance to learn and explore on their own. It's unfortunate, but in an unenlightened society, that's what we get.
