Dear Bracketologist and followers

Dont want to rain on your parade but what is the point of ranking teams. There are a handful of elite pitchers at each age group and generally those teams have the best teams.
We have the top 3 or 4 organizations as well, and each year girls shuffle because of various reasons.
We are getting away from the point of all this which is to develop our kids into better players.
Really what I'd love too see is the Bracketologist COACH rankings. Now that would be something, because my experience with the coaches out there is incredibly disconcerting.
Again, not tryin to start a fight with you. I know you mean well, but it just isnt about winning nationals, and if it is, then we're all lost.

Yes; the response was typical!!!! (FUNNY AS ALWAYS)

I appreciate all the work that Bracky does and I look forward to his 2012 rankings.

I think a coaches ranking might also be an interesting one though.

I am not averse to the rankings, but I particularly like the latter part of this post. There are far too many coaches who are more intersted in winning than developing their players. Especially at the younger ages, where most of the developing should occur!

Thanks for your post and your opinion. I think some people look to far into Brackey's rankings. Even though I think he spends a lot of time and is pretty good at it, it's just for FUN !!! Something for the bucketheads to debate over. :D

Absolutely, winning usually comes from good coaching unless you're UCLA because they get all the best girls but their coach sucks. She won only because girls want to play at UCLA.

Moneyball, I agree. USC is on suspension; UCLA sucks; Basketball has a lock out; World Series has two teams few care about; NFL season has some funky voodoo going on with some of the teams (yeah, sofball, that includes Denver and the chosen one!). What the heck are we going to talk about if Brackey doesn't give us something to chew on? Bring on the list!
