If Elite and BB are the only 14U NTX second year teams in the area that are willing to compete nationally we are in trouble. What has happened to the Zoom's and TNT gold's of the world? NTX needs to step It up in softball efforts if we are to compete here? What happened to the pure '98 Firecrackers? How did they fare out there? Have not heard from there side past Saturday as they were undefeated as well BB. Where did each team place? How did Glory Kyser's bunch fare as well?
Southlake as long they have the good old boys there and in other complexes as well. It's money first and softball second. The Ronald McDonald is proof of that. TD's keep holding back the progress of softball here in NTX. Something needs to change or simply let's just continue to be happy with mediocre softball.

I am not sure why people on this board believe we are a second year 14U team; this is our first year and we have only had a full team less than six months. We have four 97's, one 98, and the remainder of our girls are 96's. This is also only one of our 97 pitchers second year to play select ball. The RM was our first national showcase and we were very proud of how the girls played.
I do agree that the north texas teams are much weaker than the Houston area teams. The TD's in the area could help by not hosting all open tournaments. Host some true A tournaments including some ASA tournaments. VTD is very popular in north Texas, not so much in other parts of the country. Look up Impact Gold and Sudden Impact and see how many VTD sanctioned tournaments they have participated in.

Some things in TX never change....
