I think you might be right about FC not having to prove anything. I think they are playing 14U prepping for the Ronald McDonald. It is going to be hard for the hitters on teams that are playing 16U ball at '43 to adjust to '40 at the RM. I sure wish our coach would have done that. Sure hope see them at the RM.

I think all of these first year pure '98 teams are going to struggle at the RM. Although I hear some of these top '98's are carrying some '97's. Especially pitchers, that should help them some.

I agree with all of that. Ronald McDonald will be the first (and only) test this fall for the younger teams. One thing I've noticed though is that all of these teams that think they are playing up are basically playing 14U at 43ft. I don't understand the thinking there but to each his own. Even the 16/18U tourneys that aren't full of younger teams it seems like the TDs are lining up the younger teams with the other younger teams or very weak older teams. Why put a first year pitcher at 43ft. just to play other first year teams?

We have played Glory(Allen) once this year a few tournaments ago and I know one pitched against us. I believe they have two '97 pitchers. Correct me if I'm wrong, don't want to start rumors. Pride has a '97 or two? Not sure if they are pitchers this info was on HB in some earlier post. Firecrackers have any? They sure have some big girls. Haven't kept up with all top 98's seems like you might know some. Please advise.

Glory Adkins Allen and Pride have 97s, yes. I am not sure on FC. Many of the other teams do as well. This is that age group though where the birth year becomes irrelevant. So if FC does have 97s who are 8th graders pitching, do you believe that they have an advantage over teams with 98 pitchers who are 8th graders? I'm not picking on FC, I really have no idea what their makeup is. On the other hand, a team full of 97 freshman would probably have an advantage playing a team full of 98 7th graders. Maybe.

Not really. Looks like only 5 teams from DFW are even playing Ronald McDonald.
