Thanks, LIGHTS OUT, for the memories!

by sportsfam5 » Sun Aug 07, 2011 7:09 pm

Lights Out has been our family for 4 years & I just wanted to say, "Farewell & Thanks!" We've been through so much together & I know I speak for all our parents when I say we have never been more proud of all of you. I can't wait to see you all shine, even if you are on the opposing side. With that, I leave you with a quote, not only cuz I think it's appropriate, but, also, so you may know who my DD is:

"The key to immortality is first living a life worth remembering."
-Bruce Lee

We will always remember where we started...

This was to be our last year together & have disbanded. We felt since we were just a mom & pop team, with no organizational backing, that it would be best that our girls go on to bigger & better things.

Better opportunities had been offered to some players, others just felt the need to spread their wings & coaches just wanted to be dads.

That's great and sometimes once of the best things for the daughters. Very selfless to think of the players first. Congratulations on a great showing at Premier and best of luck to all the players I am sure they will find great new homes!

Great team, great parents....I have had the opportunity to watch some of the players since Rec...Good Luck to all and Larry did a great job keeping things moving forward and even to having Shane come in because it was simply a benefit to the girls...

Coach without an ego....what a concept huh?

Congratulations – I have enjoyed watching your daughters and coaches grow. I remember the hard early days when some said you were over your head but the parents stayed together and believed in the process and coaches. Best wished to an outstanding group of players, coaches and parents!
