Word on the street is that catcher from Mississippi who played for TX Glory 10U at the 2006 nationals was an illegal pick up player. Appears she never played in the state tournament, so she was not eligible as a pick up player out of region. The TX Commissioner did not check if she played at TX States and red-lined the roster with her on it. This was the main reason a lot of the players left the team on 07, and now he’s on to another organization in 08.

Who knows anything about this?

Does that mean Nemesis would be the 2006 ASA Champs and the A's get 2nd?
Would that mean that ASA would owe the A's a berth to ASA nationals?

Since this was 2 years ago, not sure there is much recourse other than Karma.

We qualified for nationals last year without the berth, so no need to stir the ashes for us.

I don't condone cheating at all, but man I feel for those girls. Luckily, I think this board is mostly adults since they've been ripped for the past 2 weeks on here, deserving or not.

I guess it just makes this weekend even more intense for HOF Q.

I'm pretty sure your information is not correct. The pickup player/catcher that played with Glory at 06 Nationals is from the DFW metroplex. She was also the pick up that was playing with them during the mess that went on in Keller and left. Her team recently disbanded and according to the '95 Travelers website she has joined their team. It should be an interesting game if they meet up this weekend.

Yes the pitcher was from MS. She and her family moved back to Alabama. She's playing on the Birmingham Vipers 95 team now.

Spazdad,Flannigan is not gone just has a new name, kinda like a company that takes all they can then files for bankruptcy and comes back the next week with a new name but same song and dance. Maybe one of these days people will figure it out, this guy has 9 lives heck maybe more than that.

Be careful what you hear in Texas!!! Alot of 12U teams would like to see this team disbanded but the truth is that they are still very strong and hence the jealousy.

Thank You for all the compliments, we are looking forward to competing at Nationals in 2008. The core group of the 2006 National championship team is still together with the 95 Texas glory.

However, we have added some key athletes in the fall of 2007 and now this spring of 2008. Not to take away anything from the 2006 group, they were incredible. This year we are more talented and athletic than we have ever been before, so we look to make a huge splash at 08 Nationals.

Preperation will be the key to repeat, not lack of talent.

On another note, there are a lot of very good teams to compete with in the Dallas metroplex to help us prepare. We look forward to helping them and our team succeed in 2008.

Secondly, about the girl from Mississippi, I seriously doubt she was an illegal player. I remember Dan Adkins, founder of Glory putting articles in the paper about her to bring attention to his organization/Gold team. If she was illegal then they would not have been announcing it all over the place. Misssippi is not that far from Texas.

No Uno, I like that we can put anything (legal) on these boards. I've learned a ton, been pissed at a few, and laughed a lot. I have new web friends and enemies!

I don't let my DD get on here and truthfully, I quit reading "super freaks" stuff cause I can't understand it (and some of hit mech's stuff too ) My DD got her own log-ins on eteamz, since then I deleted her. She has texting, that's enough.

And for the hard-working, honest, kids and parents of Texas Glory, keep your heads up and play hard. It's usually fun to watch you play.
