Great long weekend at states...after playing the last game of the day and leaving the fields....some thoughts

*Congrats to BB-Ray and CA-Lockman..may you be on the other side of the brackets at Nationals!
*No traffic home to the OC. Are you kidding me? Such a pleasure.
*Bombers coach with the ponytail is a tool - they are 12 year old girls pal!
*Nothing like a good draw. Nothing like a bad draw.
*I am liking the Diamond Valley fields more and more- Please keep watering the trees!
*The Blues didn't make a difference for our games all weekend long. Except I wish they squeezed the CA pitcher a bit. She pitched a great game against us.
*weather was warm, not indiana warm, but warm.
*looking forward to Best of the West- suprises in 12u last year

So MG does a great job hosting and I was adding up my 3 day total...

Pineapple smoothie - $5 x 2
Trip Tip Sandwich -$4
Home run Burrito - $5
Raffle ticket for Big screen $10
Misc chicken bowls, carne tacos, and drinks for the DD. and who knows what else when the DD asks for $$$

Do you have a rewards card???? buy 4 burritos...get one free?

and I was tempted to buy the "fried pepsi" for the team, from one of the vendors, but the description was just too much.
I'm gonna take this right foot, and I'm gonna whop you on that side of your face...and you wanna know something? There's not a damn thing you're gonna be able to do about it!

:o

the only one that I witnessed go over the fence was the one hit by an OCB-Ray kid during the Power Surge game

I also heard about a Team Smith kid blasting one out as well

Pony-tail man got thrown out of our game in Las Vegas this spring. That sent his pitcher daughter into a complete meltdown--felt sorry for her.

Doesn't P-T Man know that only Lachman is allowed to yell at umpires??? Hah!!!

Secured a berth:
Corona Angels
Breakers-Sieber
Firecrackers 97
Team Anderson
Sudden Impact
Batbusters-Ray
Powersurge
Artesia Punishers
San Diego Aztecs
Valley Tribe-Moore
American Pastime 97
Cal Cruisers 97
OC Frenzy

The Top 20 teams in So. CA...... depends which week, temp, full or half-moon etc..
Don't put to much into the results at State as 3 out of the top 10 finishers at ASA Nationals had very poor showings at State last year!

It may have been a surprise to some that the Cruisers beat BB-Snow but not to those who have seen the Cruiser's #1 pitcher. She had Snow's team tied up all game. Beautiful rise ball had them off balance just enough. Snow is a great team but she was just better on Sunday.

I am sure Snow will qualify at Regionals. They will no doubt be at Nat's. They belong there but just need to take the long road. That may make them mad so watch out.
