These 3-4 plus another 13! 16-17 So Cal teams at Nationals! A little MUCH! Looks like another year where the Nation hates So Cal once again.

Last year there were 88 teams in 12U and about the same number of socal teams. In no way does "the nation" hate the socal teams, just the idiots who spout off.

Anyone remember the Huntsville Comets from last year???? One loudmouth put a target on their backs.

There has always been a decent presense of CA teams at Nationals. When the economy was not this bad you would go out of state and chase a berth. When my older DD was 14U, hello we went to New York and this was planned trip even before state.

how are the 13 teams selected for qualification? Is it the top 8 out of the winners brackets and the rest from the losers? If so, how is the fifth team selected??

Looks like one of the best teams is going to be in the loser bracket early. I gotta say, it sucks that they can't battle their way back to championship....... It would of been a good game in championship; not first game out of the shoot. Sucks for OCBB Snow, I bet Ray is throwing a party. I can't believe the two Firecrackers are playing each other. Yikes.

Why can't you believe that the 2 Firecrackers teams are playing each other?...It is a draw!...It's not like they are best friends or something because they are from the same organization...They may hate each other for all you know...Why would anyone who ISN'T on BB Ray or BB Snow even care about them not playing in the Championship?...I can tell you that it doesn't bother me or my team that they're in that spot...You do realize that this is about the girls qualifying for Nationals and not about you don't you? Oh I know, you love watching 12U Fastpitch...I know, I know...Also, do you know that they may NOT even play the Championship? Sometimes it doesn't get played...I'm sure you knew that though...

Here is the bottom bracket schedule. Ann referred to the "losers" bracket as the Aloha bracket. Gotta love that! Looks like 4 teams that go into Aloha in the 1st round will have to play an extra game to try and make their way to Nat's. AI mentioned that the 13 berths would be posted on the board when we get there Saturday so not exactly sure how it plays out.

Figuring the layout : If you are in the winner's bracket by Monday morning you should be getting a berth. If you are in the loser's bracket you will need to win that Monday 8:00am to stay above the 12th spot. The 13th will be interesting to see!
