Anderson Bat Q & A

What's on your mind?

by NachoDaddy » Fri Apr 16, 2010 9:46 am

Tumblebug,
I have a great deal of respect for you. To come on a public forum, and answer all questions related to your product is something very admirable. I believe you have been very honest thus far throughout the 50 pages of this thread, so here comes a tough one. In your opinion, are the Rocketech bats of today as good as those of yesteryear? For example is the 2010 model as good as the 2008, is the 2008 as good as the 2007 and so on. It appears that the 2005 model is the favorite of most. If you agree, is there any chance you will do a “retro” or “flashback” model? Thanks in advance for your honest response.

I'm not sure how I missed this one. Sorry for the late reply. The 04 through the 07 were built identically, all improvement changes were minor. I can't explain the legendary status of the early models. The 08 & 09s saw some fundamental changes that changed the balance and some will find it better while others will find it worse. The 2010 has a couple of design changes and a material change. I know what testing in the lab says (better) but over the years the lab result and the field opinion hasn't always dovetailed perfectly. I know it will not be worse, but the field jury is still out. I'll let the players tell me their opinion. Theirs is the only opinion that counts.

I am proud. It's wonderful that they are doing so well. The A-game program is not about winning or losing. It's about teaching the game and competing. The 12u team gets that. It's amazing how well you can do when you embrace the idea that doing it right along with talent will get you wins. I am indeed proud.

We are hitting at the new A Game facility tomorrow evening. I am sure the girls would love to meet you. They all swing techs and Nanos and are proud of their hitting.
I'm gonna take this right foot, and I'm gonna whop you on that side of your face...and you wanna know something? There's not a damn thing you're gonna be able to do about it!

I will be there at 4:30 until 5:30 with my 8-year-old's team. Then I'm at a lacrosse game for my 17 year old until about 7. I can stop by after. When will you be there?

I'll see what I can do but that's kinda right when I'll be at Cody's game. I may hang around if it's raining and go at halftime. We'll see.
