10U TOP TEAM RANKING (SOCAL) PRE-ASA STATES FINAL RANKING !

by SEMINOLES » Tue Apr 06, 2010 4:08 pm

We played in the friendly and here is the deal, Impact is a great team with coaches that want the best. They have run some great friendies (multiple, with no bad thread up to date). The problem consist of Impact trying to accommodate each team on game times and who each team wanted to play. The second problem was for teams that stated they were playing and deciding after the games were posted that they didnt what to play. Do you really think Impact wanted to change the schedule 3 to 4 times. If your team is confirmed your team is in, no matter what time your games are and or who you are playing, 10U teams will learn. I believe with all of the changes that occured during the week they lost sight of the feilds and who was moving and who was staying and I agree it was pretty bad. Other than that they will learn and we will be back.

We were also at the Impact friendly and we were having so much fun we didnt notice that there was no chalk on the fields. Yes we did get rescheduled and yes we had to move and yes the mound was messed up None of that mattered to us we were enjoying the day and watching our 10 year olds play some great softball. Dont sweat the small things!!! Enjoy your girls while they are young. 10u is one of the most funnest times if you dont ruin it. Just waisted energy bitching about minor details your missing the big picture. Thank you Impact for having us we had a blast.

Last day to get polls to me. I got a good and adequate sample and should be able to post the results Thursday or Friday. Right now looking really close between BB and Jynx for the #1 spot but there is still time to get your votes in !!!

You can get the poll spreadsheet below on this post. If you do not have Excel email me your Top 20 (or top whatever) and I will fill out the spreadsheet for you.

Email to: socal10udude@gmail.com

Thanks,

Pretty interesting...was in Vegas for Paddy's and OCBB looked like the strongest team in 10s when playing the best nine players. The CE also looked strong and beat Jynx in the semi. Not sure how people are voting but tournament play should speak louder than friendly play (especially when some teams are playing all their girls during friendlies). Just a Parent's thought...

I hope ALL teams are playing all of their girls during friendlies.
I don't believe one tournament makes the year. So why are you not going to Fresno?

Just FYI. 99SOFTBALLFATHER is not affiliated with Knuckle Up 99's. I am a coach with KU, and we do not know who posted that using our team as a gripe session launching pad. We were, in fact, at the Impact Friendly and not one of us said we had a bad experience. Yes, we had to make some adjustments, but that's what you do. We will attend any friendly Impact invites us to again. We know how hard it is to host, so we will just show up and play. Someone hit it right on the nose...just go and have fun. We only have so much time with our little ones, so make the best of it. If you think issues are not going to come up during your friendly, just host one and see what happens. We are out there to get work in so...have fun.

I am one of the coaches for Strike Force. I also think most of the coaches for Impact are great. The players also are very talented and most of the parents are great people. I think the friendly wasn't run the best, but it is a pain to run. Tons of work. We had fun and played some good games with a few minor problems with fields it was worth it. Plus its close to home good for us. I think they meant well just over whelmed. Now lets move on from that friendly and focus on the future.
Mizunos friendly was fun- Thanks guys for hosting another well run friendly.

Polls are all in I received 20 qualified polls again. I started the calculations this weekend but wasn't able to finish. Should be able to finish tonight. Very close for #1 between Jynx and BB and I can't call it as of yet. A couple of other surprises too.

Thanks for your patience !!!
