Capistrano Unified School District to strike.

by Mr. Wonderful » Tue Apr 06, 2010 11:15 pm

If Capistrano Unified School District teachers go on strike, they will take the athletic schedule with them. The CUSD school board has decided that all district educators take a permanent 10-percent pay cut to help balance a $34 million budget deficit. The teachers might go on strike in protest. Teachers could launch the strike next week.
Six high schools in the CUSD play interscholastic sports: Aliso Niguel, Capistrano Valley, Dana Hills, San Clemente, San Juan Hills and Tesoro. If those schools' teachers go on strike, all athletic practices and contests involving those schools' teams will be postponed. :o

The funny thing is Mission Viejo is in there league. They will be the only ones playing. The district stance is who cares we forfiet and Mission Viejo gets the win....No make up games will be allowed per district. No one will be allowed to practice or participate. 400 kids walked out at Aliso Niguel on Friday in protest to the district.

400 kids walk out Friday to protest " How Stupid " all these students should have stayed in school and walked the lines with the teachers if this thing happens - you watch though all these kids will be going to the beach and goofing off if this does happen. And the 400 who walked out last Friday just took advantage of a situation for a three day weekend.

I didn't either at that age. Well, I knew how some things got paid for but I don't think those are what you're referring to.

Sad to say, many adults in today's world have no concept either.
