Hey al-e-do
Those Ladycats are clawing their way up and the Hornets are free falling! Is Ditmore to highly rated or is everyone figuring her out and hitting their strides sooner? Birdville and Boswell played a good one Friday. Coach Hank F. From Saginaw always seems to beat someone he is not supposed to and I would say he wasn't supposed to beat Azle. I watched Saginaw bunt Azle to death Friday night! That may leave the Hornets as the odd team out of the playoffs this season!
Lots of young teams and future stars yet to be in HS for most of these teams.
Aledo has a soph pitcher and soph catcher that should continue to get better, and their junior right fielder has the best stix in the district. Even though they are losing a lot of talented seniors this season there are several very talented girls coming up to H.S. next year, with big stixs.
Azle has some young talent coming up to help Ditmore in her senior season. Mostly freshman this year but they should be making a name for themselves very soon. A couple of them are very fast on the bases, and could make an impact (if allowed) on that Azle infield.
Birdville has a young freshman pitcher that should take over where her Varsity counterpart leaves off. Add that to a talented younger class, both existing and coming soon, and they should continue to do well in this district.
Boswell is graduating several girls this year especially Hanks and Cat, but they will still have Cool, and a young core coming up. Freshman 3rd base is a very smart player and their soph pitcher should continue to do well next year.
Brewer is young with even more girls coming up. Brewer will have 3 x incoming freshman pitchers and at least one of them would start anywhere. They will certainly miss their Senior SS (KK) but will have sufficient girls to go around with solid bats. Look for them to immediately get better next year! They should have JV players next year that could play Varsity in most places! Their future looks bright..........again!
Adios Springtown (3A) and Mineral Wells (3A) next year, as well as Saginaw (5A).
