Good morning bucket heads. Sorry I am a day behind we were wiped out from Sunday and took Monday off. First of all great tournament Fury we appreciate all the hard work done to pull it off.

Hats off to the Storm Elite for going undefeated to win it all, great ball club they were really on their game last weekend, good job! I am so proud of our girls for fighting up thru the losers bracket, what a tuff road to get there, some fantastic games against some top notch teams. Everyone should be proud of their girls. Mine played hard and stayed cool and consistent all day, so here you go really

I agree!! It's too easy for a TD to give certain teams a easy draw. I don't know how many times I've drawn numbers and there sure don't look like there's enough numbers left to match the amount of teams left. It's too easy to fix. I know you have to beat the teams eventually but fair is fair. Seeding is the best way to do it. If you have to draw numbers, have all the coaches meet at certain time towards the end of pool play to draw numbers. If team from Friday nite can't be there, at least all the Sat coaches will be there to make sure it's done properly.

Seeding by record in pool games is the proper way to set up the tournment bracket, unless coaches change the way they approach pool games then you still may not get an ideal bracket.

Most teams have pool game pitchers, these pitchers are still learning to pitch and may not yet have the skills to be, a bracket game pitcher. Plus coaches are moving players around in different spots to give them game situations in positions they are trying to learn.

The coaches would have to change their approach to pull games to get a good seed.

I still like seeding from pool games over a blind draw or a td draw that can put some teams in a more favorable position.

So how do you go about getting td's to have seeding. Tell them your not coming if they don't seed teams!!!! ???? It would work if all teams took that approach.

Guys

I'm a big fan of the pool games counting toward seeding the bracket as well but we just don't see it a lot in Softball like Hammer said the boys that's all they use. Well let's change that how do we favor having it done 3 pool into single elimination or 2 pool and Double elimination or even 3 pool into Double elimination. Let hear your thoughts and we will make it happen in the spring .

Shane,

As long as you can guaranty four games it doesn't matter if the pool games are seeding you. To many options everyone will have a different opinion. Tex brought up a good reason that coaches use that time to build there talent, they could still use it for that. It would make it more real for the pool players that are getting time in that position. I guess keep it the same two pools and double elimination. If they tie go to the runs allowed or some type of stat. ;)

Not knocking your tournament this weekend it was a good one.... just asking ? ;)

Hey 77 it sounds like they all think you rigged the brackets last weekend. Just kidding

I agree i would love for pool games to seed in to bracket. I've seen TD give teams who "would like a late bracket start" to get that. The on problem is you would have to play pool game to finish the inning and tournament could get really behind.

but then does it really matter, because in the end you still have to take care of business on the field no matter who is in the dugout across from you.

What happened with this poll. Sudden Impact 97 not only replaced a top vote getting team in this poll, but got their votes as well?

By the way...I would like to see the pool seeding for bracket as well, but I am not sure how this fixes things. TD's could still match who they want in the pool games. I simply like the fact that it makes the girls play harder in pool games because they have some meaning. It would also limit teams from facing weak pitching in the pool games.
