I love it we play our first pool game at 7:15 Friday night then the other one is 8am Saturday morning.

Hey Tex and Bring It –
If this Tournament doesn’t provide any swagger or mean anything then why play it? We should all just practice up for the RM since you say it’s the only important one. Wait a second the Red Hots are going so it must be good enough for them.

Diamondgal- The more "W"'s these girls get at the local tourney's the more confident they will be for the ones that count. Confidence is big for a 12 year old kid.

I did not say the Burroughs tourney did not mean anything. I said I thought the RM carried more weight. I stand by that opinion. Does that mean the Burroughs tourney is unimportant? No way. I simply think the RM is better overall and I feel the winner of that tourney will have more swagger for two reasons...it is later in the fall, and the teams are typically stronger. Win that one and you deserve the bragging rights going into the Spring.

I agree that the RM is bigger tourney or course, maybe also the Katy C.Classic as the only other big fall tournament. I am saying that winning becomes a habit and if teams are used to winning then their chances to win the big ones are better. Do you think if the Red Hots lose this weekend that anyone will care that half their team was at volleyball, no, they will just say the 98 blank beat the Red Hots. Sipping on the kool aid, I know...

Can anyone tell me who the top three were at these tournaments last year Most likely only if you were on the team that won it. But everyone seems to agree on who the good teams are without much difference of opinion. Why, because they place at a majority of the tournaments they play in. Winning breeds winning, kids and parents want to play for a team with a winning rep, and play the best competition thus they travel to get there. It’s real nice for these programs at try out time, and real hard for startups to compete. I'll bet you the winner of RM this year does not come in without any victories under their belts and with the swagga

The Ronald McDonald Schedule will need some changes I'm not sure where the post went but I just looked at it and there are 2 teams playing Back to back at 2 different parks and 2 teams only showing 1 pool game

Jr. High VB ends at the end of October...teams will have had a chance to practice and most, if not all, will be at full capacity. The tourney also has some strong travel teams from around the state in addition to the local strong teams that are participating.

I just think the RM will be the BEST indicator of who should have bragging rights going into the Spring. I never said it was the ONLY indicator.

I have 8 girls playing there District Volleyball tournament the Friday/Saturday of RM . All the 97 teams are dealing with Jr. High Sports. I don't believe anyone is making excuses. I will not make any win or lose. I just hope Basketball doesn't keep me from playing Katy Christmas Classic. I won't know until Basketball schedules come out. My girls are starting to feel one another out and we are working out the kinks. The fall doesn’t mean anything . It counts in the spring and a lot of teams will look totally different after January. It happens every year.
