Thanks guys, doing much better, this was some nasty stuff there for a while. Helps very much to have a physician brother who I could call and get a prescription for Tamiflu within 30 minutes of symptoms starting, fever, fatigue, aches, chills, tough stuff for this 57 year old wimp. And the day I got it, a 57 y/o guy in our town died from it - so while I am not all the way over it, I am one of the lucky ones.
Some 3 weeks ago, my dd had started practice with her college team and we were calling her like all parents, bugging her to death. She told us that she was really tired - wife and I said 'well wow, its D1 practice, its tough, she will be fine", day 2, still very tired, day 3, she calls and says - dad I am really bad now - I said 'get to the doctor' . She calls me, says 'Dad they say I have the flu and I have to be isolated or go home - what am I going to do'. She couldnt come home, other kids, grandkids, etc. I had had the flu shot so I said ' no sweat, be there in 4 hours' so I loaded up my mobile office (laptop/etc) and drove up there, found a hotel and put her there and took care of her. Two days after I get there, a show comes on about H1N1, she says "Yea, thats the one I have" - I went 'Oh sxxx' - I dont have the swine flu shot, so I called brother, he said "you're in trouble" he sent some medicine out. But after I had dd leveled out, I headed home, but I did spent 5 days with her. She was ok to play in her games and did well - all I can say is playing like she did with this nasty stuff, she is one tough chick.
And thanks for your good wishes. Take the shot.
