2010 Bats

What's on your mind?

ATD, What is the actual difference between the Stealth and the Synergy both specs seem to be exactly the same only difference seem to be the name and colors. My dd uses the older Synergy SCN1B model best one Synergy has made by far. Could these 2 bats be in the same category as far as performance??

I would give the Stealths (2-piece flex) a slight edge in performance but lacks the durability of the Synergys (1-piece stiff). The older Stealth & Synergy models rank in the top 3 as best fastpitch bat ever made.

The Stealths(4b,5b,6b) I've owned lasted about a full season while the Synergys(1b,2b) are going strong 2-3 years.

Anyone see a Demarini DX0NE bat being used? I saw one recently being used and it was ridiculous.

The DeMarini DXOne is a slowpitch bat.

ASA Regulations state that you cannot use a slowpitch bat in fastpitch play. The ball would jump off the slowpitch bat many times more dangerous than an actual fastpitch bat. Look at what the bat does to a slow pitch that is arched it smashes the ball, you said yourself this bat was crazy when you saw it. The officials at the game apparently don't know their rules or did not pay attention. Was this a league game or tournament??

Tourney with ASA reps there. I even questioned Blue and they stated it was a "new bat". After witnessing 2 HR's and a couple grounders that were dangerous to even get in front of, I cant imagine this thing being safe if it was hit back at the pitcher.

Hopefully the ASA Rep will be advised of this for the next go round but hopefully it does not take a smashed face for him to know what he is supposed to look for. One other thing the coach on that team should also know better than to let a player use a slowpitch bat but you just never know. Someone will eventually figure out the bat is not a legal fastpitch bat and get it out of the game and hopefully teaching the umps and reps a lessoned learned.

Well. Even though it is like fielding a canonball. Demarini Website looks like it states it can be used for ASA?

There Can Be Only One
This is it. A must-have for the serious slowpitch fanatic who demands more feedback and response. The Half & Half? design with a stiffer, solid 4.ONE composite barrel and handle gives this two-piece design a one-piece feel and great distance.

Product Name Ounces Length
DXONE 2634-9 26 34
DXONE 2734-9 27 34

That would be approval for ASA Slowpitch only not ASA fastpitch. This bat should never be allowed to be used in ASA fastpitch play if it is being allowed by umpires then they need to have their certifications removed before someone gets seriously hurt.
