From what I saw of the play on Saturday, I don't think anyone should be buying airfare to Nationals quite yet.

There was some good play and some really poor play and quite a few teams who don't quite know who they are yet e.g. A or B, All Star or Rec.

I saw a very good pitcher with the Thunder. I saw a very impressive lead off batter with the Fury. I saw some good fundamental softball from the Sting Blue (small ball against a weak team in pool play). I saw a Power girl hit the fence on 4 hops. Add it all up and you got 2 and out at Nationals, so hold the happiness and the self praise boys and girls.
Sometimes too much to drink is barely enough.

those people running that tournament are a JOKE!!!! get the money and cancel the tournament!!!! they could have played one mroe round of gmaes saturday night and if they had just waited another hour before cancelling sunday morning they could have played more on those turf fields... i guess if you post a tournament with a 5 game gaurantee, it is ok to put in the rules that you hand out "if you play three games, pool or bracket, there will be no refunds given... lets see 5 game gaurantee vs 3 games played, huh?????

they will never see the likes of me or my family over there again for that turnament..... the fileds and complex was very nice though, i do like that and would venture to beaumont again but not for a SOT tournament!!!!

and what.... no sunflower seeds allowed at the park???

I agree the tour. was a joke. I also hate the turf on the infield.

Pretty sure this tournament was run by someone else. I also think it was held at a different location.
I thought the tournament was pretty well run. I wish they would have played some pool games Friday night. Possibly would have allowed for some additional bracket games to be played Saturday before mother nature struck. Definately some good teams there, but none of them were really any surprise.
Looks like RM will show us a little more with the big girls playing in 14u that weekend.

I saw twin 6 footers hit 300' homers, a pitcher throw in the mid 70s and a slapper who ran a legitimate 2 flat home to 1st.

Other than that it was pretty much what i expected!!!!!!!!!!!! 8-) 8-)
