My daughter is a rotational hitter and learned it as a "system" instead of piece by piece and adjustment by adjustment every week. I am not into linear, but if all possible I recommend learning it that way, as a system (linear or rotational), complete break down of the swing. This allowed my daughter from head to foot understand her swing, I understand her swing, and she knows how to correct herself too because she understands it, much like pitching if she closed her hips too soon and didn't snap her wrist good and it went over catcher's head, she can make the adjustment in her swing and recognizes a flaw or mistake and understands what adjustment she needs to make for the next swing.
