Really......you are in for a rude awakening. We all know TPS 98 spent all year murdering the rest of the 98's ...BUT....the game just changed. There is an adjustment period.....No more pitchers throwing fastballs by everyone in the batting order.....size, speed, speed of the game....all improved. Let me share this with you.....the level of 2nd year 10U teams last year wasn't even close to the year before.

We played with the 97's there last year at the 10u level. Be carful blowing that horn. Overall the talent was better as a division from top to bottom but don't think for a minute the top 98's were not as good or could not compete with the teams from the year before. Tell your self that if it makes you feel good, but we have played both years and that dog wont hunt.

It is going to be a fun season that’s for sure. The 98 dominant pitchers now moving back 5 feet and throwing the larger ball will get more movement out of their pitches, but more balls will be put into play, therefore there will be a lot more “stress” put on the defense. Think of it this way if your infield was bored during the games, gloves not ready, minds wondering… because the pitcher was striking everyone out then some of these 98’s might look weak defensively. Flip side, those bored fielders now get to be more involved and find new love for the game. I also agree that there was more talent in the 97 crop, but there are some stud 98’s just not as many. Let the good times roll.

We were a victim in the murdering  If I remember correctly TPS 98 played up in 12U in late spring last year and when they did they won and/or placed in those tournaments. I want to say Pasadena last year they took first not sure of the teams they faced. Why are the 97's so defensive I think we're giving the top teams the credit they deserve. my Dd's team is Age pure 98/99 so we are buckling down for the onslaught.

It sounds like allot of 12u bucket heads think that it was all pitching with the top 10u teams and that is the reason they were successful. I will let you in on a little secret, that was not the case there were some great defense on the top 10u teams. You might should have watched some of the top 10u teams play instead of just reading about them on the bucket.

The 97's got a taste of 98 TPS last season in a tournament. Let me see, I think they won that tournament. But wait it was probably not the good teams there, or those teams were not TRUE 97's . Had to be something because all they had was pitching last year with no defense. :o

You would be correct about something and that is the quality of the teams that were at that tournament...they were league teams b/c the A teams were all attending qualifying tournaments. :o

Why are the two of you trying to paint a target on the TPS 98' backs anyway??? or kissing a$$?? :o :o :o :o :o

It is called giving teams the proper respect they are due. They will be a good team this year and I like the team, they do what it takes to be competitive and they work hard at preparing to play at a high level. Don't be a hater if you are not happy on your team you could probably find a good 98 team that might have ya.
