I am just wanting to issue this Sever Weather Advisory. The state of Texas is about to become overwhelmed by a scorching heatwave. Experts say the cause of the Extreme Heat is a Phenomenon known as " The Mini Hots". Fall Ball meeting is tonight and they will be hitting the dirt shortly there after.

I heard some of these top teams are picking up 96 players for the fall. Has anybody else heard that. I guess I can understand teams that can't compete, picking up a 96 player but why would a top team need to do that.

1998's
1. TPS 98 (Mcbride)
2. TX Sting 98 (McKinney)

1997's
1. HV 97 (Miller)
2. TPS 97 (Sullivan)
3. Pearland Panthers 97 (Rodriquez)
4. TX Storm Elite 97 (Vaughn)(tenative)

Looks like some teams can't seem to get out of the kiddie pool...
Maybe the 14u can also be split so the younger teams can get better by playing each other.

I heard Ice 97 picked up a 96 player for the fall and that there were other teams doing it too. I'm not sure of the other teams, thought somebody might have some info.

Maybe it’s a smaller player and the parents are hoping for a growth spurt between now and January?

Maybe the 96 parents don’t care about the age up in the Fall thing?

Seems to me that if the 96 parents would want their kids to move up so that they are not behind developmentally when they have to move up?

Maybe the 97 team is hoping some of these 75 12U teams are going to fold in the Fall and they can pick up players in Jan? Maybe the 96’s are just bandaids until then?

Maybe the 96’s didn’t make the local 14U team.

Maybe it’s a case of Friend Ball where the girls have always played together?

No matter the reason, it doesn’t make good sense for the team or the 96 players.
