Can anyone verify that the '96 Ice has now become the 14U Texas Lite?

If you go to the Ice 96 website on eteamz it says they are now the Texas Lite and gives a link to the Lite 14u.

Yes, the Texas Ice 96 has now become the Texas Lite 14U. The team will include both '95 & '96 players. They had some good talent at the tryouts and I believe will field a very competitive team.

They did have some good talent at try outs but they also lost their starting catcher, both short stops and a pitcher. I wonder if there was enough talent at the try outs to make up for those losses. You also have to take in account some of the attitude that are on the team... I guess we will see.

I THINK ALL THE ATTITUDE AS LEFT THE TEAM; AND WENT TO GREENER PASTURES OR WHAT EVER.
LOSSING THE STARTING CATCHER WAS NOT THAT BIG OF A LOSS AS ONE MIGHT THINK..
THEY STILL HAVE THEIR TWO TOP PITCHERS.
THEY LOOK TO BE A VERY COMPETATIVE TEAM.

Were have they posted a roster? I've been looking around the net to see how all these teams have settled after the year end shake up. I've almost completely stopped watching my daytime shows so I can spend more time with reality HB.

slam,

bashing ex-players makes me wonder what kind of organization the Ice / Lite run. doesnt look to good and i do not agree with coming on here and talking negatively about a child. maybe she is a true loss and that is why you felt compelled to say something negative about her. sounds like sour grapes to me.

Righto' the talking bad about the girls here is a major no-no. A major offense that everyone jumps in on. But it is a very fine line from what I have seen.

A poster says "My team just got stronger by picking up two girls" is ok from what I've seen. I think 'cause it leaves it implied that the new girls are better than the old ones. Doesn't say "Hey we finally replaced those two B-ballers we had"

Saying the loss of a player "is not as big a loss as you might think" is kind of a gray area for me. Could mean "She was a starter but was avg" or could mean "Hey there were 17 catchers at try-outs and we picked up a good one so didn't loose much".

Good luck to the Ice, now the Lite and all the girls new and old. BTW does anyone else think of beer when they read about this situation? Bud "Ice"...Miller "Lite"

General tip: Do not to pick on the girls. Adults are fair game...

I can assure everyone that no bashing of players or ex-players comes from myself or the coaches. While we did lose some great girls and parents and only wish them the best we have been blessed to have picked up several great girls and parents and look forward to a very good season.

Good Luck to all the teams playing this season.

Will the 18 Gold team be having open tryouts as well? When will this be held? Is there enough talent still out there to put a strong team together? What park will this team play out of?

Lots of potential for this to be a good situation for players as coach has no DD on team... :D
