a pretty simple way to tell a Daddy ball team is when a team posts on VTD or when the coach tells you they are looking for a certain position player. They do this because of there DD or best friends DD already plays the other position's and you wont replace them no matter how good you are.

the non parent coach will want the best players no matter where they play and create the best team.

Phantomz08 does not play daddy ball. I can assure you that!!

Mark

So posting for a Catcher or a Short Stop means that coach is Daddy Ball? Can there be a legitimate need for a catcher or a Short Stop?

Just Curious.

Definition of Daddy Ball
“ I shall not today attempt to further define the kinds of coaching characteristics that I now understand to be embraced by the softball community as "Daddy Ball"; and perhaps I could never succeed in intelligibly doing so.......But I know it when I see it."
--Justice Potter Steward--

Ok, so now you got four 3rd basemen and six centerfielders...they can all hit the s@#t out of the ball...but somebody is gonna' need to pitch & catch...and go retrieve the ball out of the parking lot when your ace 3rd baseman serves up a watermelon when it's her turn to pitch :)

Kruzers have been resurrected looks like Mr. Whitee has pulled them up by the boot strap and will be playing a 18U tournament in Keller.

Good Luck to the Kruzers nice to see you all bounce back from adversity.

The kruzer team has been a very successful team over the years and I expect they will have another one this year. There is no excuse for what happened to them at nationals with the ineligible player. They have a team full of good and athletic softball players that play the game very well.

I'm referring to the organization, not the players.

I won't speak for anyone, but I thought this thread was about the 12u ALK. That is the team that disbanded. Along with a few other teams. :D

Just wish all the girls good luck that are playing this game........Softball...........Let the fall begin!!
