Blind Squirrel, Donnie S & Watcher - Class of 2009

What's on your mind?

All the Houston, Dallas, and SoCal 10U parents will be running the forum. :o :? :o :?

Dream on. In 3 - 5 years you folks will all have carpel tunnel from excessive posting. You'll be left unable to even open the bottles of meds you need to deal with your frustrations at not being physically able to respond to the latest herd of 12U nut cases. And pictures of Canadians in bikinis will only add to your frustrations.

The future is truly bright.

Raven's Dad

Sorry - I may have been misinformed........ I thought Raven was going to school as a Volunteer (midwest).

And I didn't quite understand the '155 miles'. It seems to be the distance to PS - not sure. I left my PS home 4 yrs ago guarded by my daughter & this week am moving from Culver City to 90066.

http://www.eteamz.com/marymount on Sunset Blvd. I just thought you lived close by.

I thought you were still in Palm Springs and you've been gone for 4 years? Guess I'm a little slow on the uptake.

If you're right by UCLA, I'm only around 30 minutes away.

Gone in 2.6
Correct. We can walk over to the Student Center for lunch as some of our teachers do.
Actually I lived in a fraternity dorm my 2nd yr at Marymount. I walked to school passing Pauley Pavilion.

And my guess was that you were about 25-30 min away depending on the 405.

I'm in.....Fillys 23U...most of the games are held in TO....so are there any more kids in the area interested????

1. Sam, what is TO and will you also be in charge of parent relations?
2. Is there really a Fillys 23U and how hard is it to form a new team in 23U?
3. Donnie, if your kid wants in, she'll have a place to stay. And just so you know, my son and I religiously avoid healthy food. None of that alfalfa sprouts crap. She would need to bring some BBQ recipes.
4. As with every team my precious plays for, she gets to choose what position she'll play before every game. The number thing is a given.

It would be a kick to get a bunch of kids together that want to play some ball and have a good time without the normal pressures they're under. No cosmic quest for championships, titles or trinkets. Just a way to stay sharp, make a few new friends and have fun during part of the summer.

Nothing personal Watcher. I just have no idea who you are.

John, since dd had the misfortune of playing for a daddyball coach (one dd played ss, other
pitched, dont get more daddyball than that) these last 5 years, she knows the rules, specially rule 4. My job will be statistician, I can make up stats faster than anyone. I meant 'write down' the stats faster than anyone.

Sam - I would like to come in as a 'consultant' . No 'assisting'.

Blind Squirrel - I am pretty sure Sam means 1000 Oaks.
And this is what I wrote last week to my high school girls who don't want the 'intense' pressure of the O C teams. They wanted time for their school studies.
"If you know of ANY girl wanting to just play more softball without the 'intense' pressure of 97 1/2 % of travel teams then send her to me .. we will practice in (or around) the Westchester area - Westchester park, Mace LL field, T O, etc.........
showcases - it has been mentioned because of the new Gary Hanning (O C BB) Premier League he is organizing beginning this fall - see Hey Bucket chat board.com ".

Looking forward to rooting your kids on and wish them a successful and peaceful freshman year!

If you had the pleasure of watching one of the So Cal Puma's games in OKC, You have seen my kid, 6'1" blonde catcher.

Kevin, Oldest left for the east coast last monday, Seems as though one of her friends lives in the "Hamptons" in NY so she left us for greener pastures, Pudge leaves on Sunday for Maryland with her mom, I will still be a softball junky & catch as many games as I can. I will be leaving on the 2-wheeler the last week in Sept. to th 2nd week in Oct. on a putt east to S.C to see friends, I am only a days ride from College Park from there, I just might make a suprise visit

I will tell you guy's this, I didn't have too much of a problem when the oldest left last year, I can't say the same this year as my lil girl is 3+ days from departure. :x

Well, I purchased DD a skid-lid so she has protection on the new scooter I bought her, It will be @ her dorm when she gets there on Sun. night. We had our "last supper" tonite as she has planned the rest of the nights with friends being left behind in So.Cal. And I don't think my digestive system can handle mexican food for the next 4 days.

Whoever told DD they didn't have any "good" mexican resturants in Maryland needs a good a$$ whoopin, I don't care if it's true or not. She is trying to eat enough mexican food to hold her over till Christmas LMAO
