Well I see everyone is back to work today. Lots of tryouts still going on, tons of rumors flying around about who lost players who gained players etc… I am also waiting on the 12U poll until I can see some of these teams in action.

I just wanted to say good luck to everyone this upcoming season. I hope to see some great softball being played.

Also, here's the latest update on our team just so there are no rumors. After Nationals we lost 2 players (and wonderful kids), since, we have added 1 new player. So as it stands now, the Texas Redhots are at 9 players.

And just in case anyone is wondering, I voted for the '97 Texas Redhots

Marti,
I hope all is well and wish you guys the best of luck this upcoming season. We will be setting our Roster later this week. We hope to see the amount of kids tomorrow that we saw on Sunday. Look forward to seeing you guys soon and wish guys the best of luck.

P.S. I voted for ya'll and HV.

Hey Gene, everything is going great for us. Glad you all had a great turnout for tryouts. I just can't wait to start back up now. Well, good luck to High Voltage as well, we are both gonna need it, I am sure we will both have targets on our backs. But then again, knowing my girls, they wouldn't have it any other way. See you soon.

It seems that you two teams our the measuring stick for the rest of the 12u this year. ;)

At this point if your team made the pole on this forum you have to feel like someone out there thinks you have a decent team for the fall.

I'm not so sure that the Red Hots, after losing a couple of key players are going to be the favorite. They are a solid team and hopefully they will recover from the loss of the 2 players.

I have alot of respect for Gene and his High Voltage team. They are just a couple of ball players away from being very good. Maybe tryouts will beef up the team in the defensive area. They need more consistancy from their defense. If that comes around look out.

The top (2) 98 teams from 10u moving to 12u, Sting and TPS 98 will have the fall season to adjust to 12u. I look for both of them to be a force in the spring that the 2nd year 12u teams will be always looking over their shoulder at. They will be tough and exciting.

Lets all get ready it will be an exciting year of fastpitch softball.

Good luck to all!!!

well tex...I hope your right about the Red Hots but I don't think two "key" players will make a significant difference. Our team has played them alot and they have 10 "key" players. If the rumors are true...they added another "key" player. So don't get everyone's hopes up...
