'SBJ', you're right! I'd rather have the 'good' players any day of the week. If only the 'superstar' parents could see that. You can see it on any given weekend. When their DD's team wins, it's because of their 'superstar' but when they lose, it's because the 'superstar' didn't have enough help.

Hammer, that's a great point. Just wish it was that easy. The coaches do need to communicate better.

I agree with Hammer, except, you better have a really good coach that can make the players on the bench better, cause you can not get better just sitting the bench say a whole game then play a game then sit a game, well get the picture. May be better off as a player to play for a team that has 1 ss

From some of the postings it sounds like the new team (14u storm) may have to deal with this. 54 girls at try-outs :o

Good to see some good discussions instead of coach bashing. I see the Ice 97 is moving quickly up the polls. Any insight on why the big jump? I saw their tryouts were tonight?

Won't hear me bashing our coach at all. (And not just cause some folks know who I am) Up front communication is the key most definitely.
I'm waiting on the poll until all the dust settles after tryouts. There ought to be some changes in how some people want to vote after that. Not into rumors so I'll wait until rosters are complete.

When or if they are all..... say a ss or equal to and use to playing most every game :D Do you play the best of those and lose some? Do you sit all out a game, equally, and still lose some? Whats the answer here :D

Most gold team players were ss or pitchers in 10u or 12u. You best not put all your dd's eggs in one basket. If she can play multiple positions and is a good athlete that can hit the ball. You are covering all your bases... no pun intended.
