Not a good start for a guy who thinks he is the softball equivalent of Rudy Jarmillo.

What in the world are you talikng about? This is a discussion about linear vs. rotational hitting. Is it the Right View Pro thing? Mulvany uses it, but he's not the owner of the company.

You sure do have a beef with this guy. What has he done to you or your DD to bring out such vindictiveness?

The guy talking in the video that is being made fun of is Mulvany. You didn't pay attention.

I really don't have a beef with Mulvany, but seriously, he slinks off for two years after the NTX Shockers/Texas Legands fail miserably for several years. Mulvany gets hired at DBAT, and now he comes back slamming every existing organization, and proclaiming himself and DBAT the saviors of North Texas softball. Read his posts on VTD.

What sort of softball credentials does Mulvany really have to make that claim? What about DBAT? They do have a great marketing campaign though.

If Tony Rico comes to town and takes over DBAT, I'll be moving my kid to DBAT tomorrow, but until then, I'll leave North Texas softball in the hands of the coaches and organizations with track records of success on the national and regional level.

Seriously Mark, win a couple of games, qualify for a national tournament, then tells us how your going to save North Texas softball.

Ok, found the video. I know that my DD went to a college camp where they favored a linear approach, and she came back messed up. Had a lesson with Mulvany, and started crushing the ball again. Rotational/linear, I don't care what you call it. What I do know is that he was able to teach my DD to hit where other coaches failed. So the guy had a rough time of it before. We see it all the time where organizations/teams with big aspirations fall apart. If you and your DD were affected personally, I guess I can understand. But, I'm willing to give the guy a break and see what he can do with D-Bat behind him.

Daughter never tried out for him. Never played for him. Don't know anyone personlly who has tried out for him. Wouldn't know him if I saw him. . . . Just go read the guy's VTD posts about being the guy and organization that will save North Texas softball.

Besides being the epicenter of daddy-ball, DFW severely lacks good coaching. Notice I did not say game managemnt..they have that part down.

When is the last time one of ur coaches did any type of cont education, watched a college practice, took a player with an obvious flaw and worked with her one on one, went to a coaching clinic, etc?

The answers 9 times out of 10 are none-cont ed, never- college prac, didn't- just cut her, and once- one clinic two years ago. Too many egos, too much talking, and not enough listening.

IMO we are falling behind quickly. Forget Cali teams.. now we are second fiddle to Houston..especially in the older age groups.

Your right OFdad!!! There aren't any coaches in NT that have a clue! Someone (like you maybe) needs to get out there in the coaching world and show these egocentric, trash talking, clock stalling, money grubbing scum the way it should be done. I'm begging you. For the good of the North Texas Fastpitch World....Take a sabbatical from that job of yours, put together some try outs and get a team together. Show em how it's done. You can run practices on Tuesdays & Thursdays. You can rack up some serious frequent flyer miles out to the West Coast to watch practice at all the PAC 10 softball programs, (while you’re out there maybe you can fix UCLA, if they will listen to you). Work in a couple of coaching clinics in your spare time, and schedule every week-end for tournaments and practices. Your team will absolutely dominate at whatever age group you jump into. Next year you will have to schedule tryouts over six or seven days just to work in all the girls that will want to be part of your team! Every Organization in North Texas will be forced to change the way they do things just to keep up with you. Hell, if you think about it, with all that know how of yours, you have the power to completely change the landscape of Fastpitch in Texas. Again, I'm begging you to do this. Just think of the 1000's of girls’ lives you can change. You have the power to do it. Make it happen big fella!

Congratulations to dbat for that 1st place victory. That is one more first place than Coach Mulvany ever got when he was coaching the Shockers.

Now Now-it was Kieth that got the victory and he's no stranger to winning. He's been tearing up the B-Ball circuit for some time now. I'm sure the result will be no different when Mark plays his first tourney next month.

man i hope so. that was their last tournament. first time any of my kids had seen the ocean. catch some jellyfish, play some softball... much better than mansfield (not that i have anything against mansfield, but its a long drive for me and they're short an ocean.)
