I can tell someone with limited knowledge about 12U posted the teams for the poll...most likely someone from a 10U moving up to 12's. Outside of the Red Hots it is questionable .]

Have to agree with five 98 teams being in the top ten.

That is probably b/c you are with one of them and again are not very knowledgeable about 12U. That is ok though you will see. Hammer is right on.

You misunderstood. I agree that whoever posted the original poll was from a 98 team who knows little about 12U. The original poll had five 98 teams on there which indicates they did not have a strong knowledge of the 2nd year 12's.

I think we should change the pole to witch teams will have the most girls at tryouts ! That would be more fitting this time of year. Who will have the biggest turn over on the second year 12u teams ? :o That would be interesting. 8-)

Tryout numbers may not be a good indicator. A team like the Red Hots will not waste time looking at weaker players. Coaches will typically screen the interested callers and only invite out to tryouts those that they feel have something to offer the team. Newer teams will probably have more actually show up knowing that they have many positions to fill.

For example, up in 14U, rumor from a few sources indicate the Texas Storm Elite out of Southbelt has anywhere between 40-60 players coming out for their tryouts.

Merlin's daughter has been invited to the Red Hot's Try Outs!

PS Red Hots encourage all players to come to our Try Outs. Nothing ventured... Nothing gained...

No need to make excuses Mohawk. Redhots proved plenty this season. Only thing you do by mentioning Nats when everyone here knows that Nats was two weeks after the Fireworks...well you get the picture.

Relax, there will be plenty of time in the fall and the spring for the Redhots and the HighVoltage to go at it.

Some parents don't like it when you text there kids. You should go thru the parents until they are a little older. Just a concerned parent who didn't appericate it. They are only 12 years old.

WOW we are testy. who was good in the 97's last year? who will be the team to beat other than the RED HOTS. yes i was in the 98 group last year and wonder how the game will change this year. More hitting? Better d-fence? How will pitcing be effected. I hear evryone will hit this year, we better have some de-fence from what it sounds like.

What has happend to HOT BOX? I miss him. Is he/she spring time only?
