Just me or did the regional section of the Texas board become nothing but 10U and 12U parents whining about stuff. I understand being competitive, but at 10U and 12U I would hope your still trying to have fun. If it is rough on you now, wait till you become a 16U or 18U team with 15-18 girls on a team. Then it becomes competitive... Play hard and have fun.....

The way it seems to work is the younger the kids are, the more immature the parents are. It may only be a reflection of their (lack of) travel ball knowledge / etiquette, but yes, they are frequently infantile and usually hilarious. In fact, I have time set aside this weekend to read the 81 page 10U Houston Metro thread... can hardly wait!
Don't worry about tomorrow. You did that yesterday.

I have been around the block when it comes to playing select ball. They didn't have this kind of stuff when my 22 year old daughter was playing 10U thru 14U. My only real beef is why coaches elect to play down just to be able to win. No whining about losong as we have done enough of that this year to last a lifetime. I told my parents going in that we would lose more than we would win, but when we started playing better and the girls were actually starting to pick up the game, we started winning more and expecting it. I would think USFA has a B and an A division for a reason, but it isn't to separate the lesser teams if they are going to allow strong second year teams in there. That's all, nothing more.

Thanks for listening...
