Looking for a good 97 team, any suggestions?

Moving down to So Cal and DD needs a team. DD has played travel ball last 4 years. We have gone to a lot of nor-cal so-cal tourneys in that time.

She is a P, 3rd, C, SS, OF.
H-1st is 2.95 (1st movement)
H-H is 11.8
Fastball is 55 at the top, averages 50-53.
Change is 38ish, keeps same motion as fast.
Throws a good drop and rise.
Can be wild at times, but keeps hitters off balance.
Good fielding P.
53 overhand.(at start of season)
She has been very effective against some of the top teams this year as a P.
She hit 1-5th and was the only 11y/o on the team. She has some good power, still working on hitting the outside pitch better..
C's well, needs to work on her blocking better but throws out a lot of runners and is quick.
Solid at 3rd/SS and has good range in the OF.

I would like to see her play most these postions next year. Any suggestions on a good team in So-Cal where they have some good coaches?? Any place where she can get some EX/college or Olympic level instruction as well. Is it me, or do kids tend not to listen their parents coaching them at his age...

Plan on being out there with us until 12:30 p.m. or 1:00 p.m. on both days.....Please bring lots of water.... I will have a form that will need to be filled out by a parent. Sorry, here's the rest of the post.....

The Corona Xpress organization is expanding once again. We are currently forming an interest list for tryouts on August 1st and 2nd. This will be a competitive ALL 97 team. We will focus on the fundamental aspect of softball along with teaching the girls the skills they need to play at a high level of competitive travel softball.

This team will be managed by our 16U coaches Wes Kay and Jim Minogue as well as Brian Coleman. Together, we bring over 50 years of playing and coaching fastpitch softball. We are not baseball coaches, we are fastpitch coaches and we will teach the girls and coach them THE FASTPITCH WAY!

This team will have short term and long term goals in order to prepare them for their eventual move into the 14U division in August of 2010. We coach in a relaxed atmosphere and will work on SHOWING the girls the right way to do it. We will play in all ASA and Triple Crown events. We will take 1 weekend off per month/

We will cover all aspects of the game and bring them to a higher level than they have ever been before. We are looking for a roster of 12 girls who are motivated and dedicated to the TEAM aspect of fastpitch softball.

We will charge a $250 registration fee along with a $50 monthly fee. We will take part in some fundraisers to relieve the out of pocket costs for the parents.

have you looked into Revenge 97. finished 3rd overall in 12u b bracket at park city. also won an afa up in desert and another one up in vegas .both against older teams. not bad for a team that is all 97 and 98's . posting on eteamz.

1st, this is your first post, so I can't tell if you are serious or if you are fishing on here trying to get someone to bite.

2nd, take your kid to the tryouts you see posted on eteamz and heybucket, sit quietly in a lawn chair, and by all means don't throw these numbers and stats at the coaches. a couple of those stats are Olympic caliber (seriously, 2.9 to first, and 11.8 home to home, 55 mph, etc, etc...) and I have a hard time believing their accuracy. the good coaches will see a red flag and it will do more harm than good. the good coaches will usually recognize talent. If you have gone to norcal/socal tournaments, you know which are the better teams.

3rd, are you saying your kid tunes you out? if you were serious when you posted this, i can't say i blame her...

Wow, not to nice artomatic, but your opinion counts.
I was just getting her info out there ( I know how hard it is to start out in So-Cal from growing up there) . I am also proud of her and what she has accomplished.
Being her coach for the last few years I know what her stats are. As a coach we take numbers at the beg of the season to see the amount of growth of the player at the end. I do believe that is common practice.

I might have the stats tattooed on my forehead so I dont have to tell all the coaches I see, they can just read it when we talk.lol

I do know of the 97 teams, but I was going of the ones that had good coaches. Thats where the opinions come in. People whom know the team or are part of the org.

I agree with some of this. I don't think it is too hard to find eteamz. If you've been playing in CA and travel for 4 years then you know who to try out for and shouldn't need to ask. Although at 11yrs old, I find it silly to say she's been doing travel for 4yrs. Three would be pushing, more than likely 2 solid years.

I don't mind the stats and wish all available players did this.

If I am looking for a speedy outfielder that can hit and had a spot open, I probably wouldn't call this girl/dad. If I am looking for a #2 or #3 pitcher that might seem like a general decent player then I might just call. A lead is a lead, she still has to prove herself but at least I can weed through something at some level by reading something about her as an overall player and what the family is looking for and what I can offer before wasting anyone's time. I'm too busy.
