Valencia strikes again!!!

If fact his DD will mostly quit after this upcoming year because of the games the coach plays and she will not play for her. Also that parent told me that each of the schools have a class the other doesn't offer, just to leave the door open for transfers. And the reason he knows that is because he wanted his DD to transfer and had talked to another coach. But she didn't want to leave her friends. This has been going on for years and you wonder why she has won so much.

You should answer my question regarding your prior accusation before you make yet another baseless accusation.

I was told about this thred and had to read it What a joke!!!!! Every coach recruits period!!!! Some just do it better then others and if any one thinks that DL, BS, MR (in the foothill) DOUG M MARK C TYRONE D ROB W (orange county) don't they are dreaming so just get over it. I also want to reply to some of the "coaching" slams going on here. MR the canyon coach is BY FAR the best coach in the leauge and maybe in the SS there may be better coaches to run a practice there may be bettter coaches that are more organized and that can realate to the kids better but when it comes down to calling pitches and calling the game from the 3rd base coaching box there are few as good as him high school or travel. My DD learned more ABOUT pitching for him then she learned in 4 years going to one of the top pitching coaches and she is on her way to a full D1 ride. Just look what he has done in 3 years at canyon with average talent (outside of a few girls) you folks out in the foothill that play against him should be worried if he ever got the talent any one of the other schools have outside of gv. He is loud and sometimes can be obnoxious but make no mistake about it, he can coach. Good luck to all the teams hope your district can work this out.

True. But, there are serious, and very talented softball players that realize, playing at UCLA won't help you later in life. So, they choose a school where they can actually get an education in the major of their choice. There is no real future in softball. But, the education you can get by playing this game can last a lifetime.

On that we agree!

The irony of this is that is NOT what is happening. When a kid transfers from Harvard Westlake to go to Valencia, then academics has nothing to do with it! Softball pure and simple. In that case DL's promises didn't quite work out the way that family was expecting.

Sad and pathetic!

For your information the transfer had nothing to do with softball. So you should not be commenting on this issue if you
don't have the facts. You are just like all the other people on here bashing a family and 15 0r 16 year old kid.

Once the girl that pitched last came on strong the HW girl kept the bench warm.--GOOD LUCK. I think what most people are saying is that if a girl doesn't want to stay at a certain school that's fine. But they should have to play down one year. I know that's not what the rule is. No girls or boys should be rewarded with being a starter(right away) on a winning team after leaving there old team high and dry.

It's amazing that all of you people are making comments about a family or kid's situation that you don't know
the facts. You should worry about your own situation. But you continue to comment on a 15 yr old kid.Leave the
kids out of your comments.

So, So , So wrong to an extent. A few of the above coaches mentioned don't have to recruit "where it's illegal". The good players come to them. By the way congrats on your DD's D1 ride.

COMMISH, you sre so wrong it's all about softball. My DD is taking a course at COC right now because Canyon doesn't offer it. The thought didn't even cross her mind to look at other schools. It couldv'e been worked out and why are they saying the coach's were mean and yelling at her.

The bottom line is that it's a family decision on where to send their child to school. It's no one else's damn business.

If they say it was a school decision, then that's what it is. "You" aren't in the family living room when the discussion takes place to make this decision and therefore don't know any different.

In other words have a Coke and a smile and STFU.
"I'm the walkin dude, I can see all the world!
Twist your minds with fear, Im the man with the power.
Among the living, follow me or die!"

OMG - why has this topic come to life again. Its a done deal, it was within the rules, all coaches in SCV do it, and this player wasnt the first and wont be the last to do it. Now move on.

There are way more important things to worry about. Just like that poor poor family up north that lost their little girl (Emily) to a virus. You have things like this going on and you keep crying because a family made a decision to move their kid to a different high school. Please everyone, let it go and move on :!:
