I am looking at getting my daughter the 2010 RT to replace her 07 RT...from what I read on it, the 10 RT is more balanced as opposed to the end loaded 07 model. Is this in fact the case? If so, what made you make it more balanced?

Why is the knob so small on the RTs?? She uses the Easton Power Pad to compensate. But I did notice that Anderson has an "extender". I know that occasionally she has to take off the power pad as some organizations say it is illegal. Does anyone know if the Anderson Knob Wrap will be deemed illegal by some associations? Won't prevent me from getting that, just curious if it is treated any different than the power pad.

We have a girl on our team that has a new '10 RT. Anderson replaced her 08' RT with the '10 RT. She likes it, but says there is definitely a difference feel to the '10 RT. She did very well with it at the Independence Day tournament, but says she is still getting used to the feel.

What is the difference between the '09 RT and the '10 RT? Is it different metal? Different weight distribution?

Steven, thx for the hardwork and great explanations..

DD has had a few bats under the basic idea of " see ball.. hit ball", but the fact is, ever since she switched to her 07 RT , she has really put bat to ball and is very happy and confident when going to the plate..

Anderson bats have a smaller knob in order to allow the hitter more "whipping" action, as far as I know. I've gotten totally used to them, and now if I pick up another bat, their knobs just feel strange!

There were several changes to the RocketTech that are noticeable. The end cap is lighter and more durable, the barrel/cap/bead interface fit was improved, and the the taper section weight was adjusted. All of those changes optimize the MOI for better response and a more consistent performance from bat to bat. All of the changes were done to improve the manufacturability but also change the performance/feel for the better. It also had a graphic change that I particularly like.

Mr. Anderson,

I've been anticipating the release of the NanoTek softball bat for a while now -- ever since the NanoTek baseball bat was released! I love Anderson products, and I'm sure the Nanotek SB will be the next in what has become a long line of the highest quality metal softball bats on the market!

One concern: In regards to the NanoTek slowpitch bat, do you plan to actually have the word, "composite" anywhere on the bat?

I play in a metal only league, and if any of the umps see the word "composite" on any bat, it's instantly thrown out. That's right, we are NOT allowed to use the RocketTech Composite Killer in our league.

There are many, MANY others who I've talked to who have said the same.

I can't wait for the NanoTek to come out, but is there any way we could keep any mention of the word, "composite" off the bat?

We actually used the term "All Metal Composite" you won't see that on the baseball bats. It was a decision made after the BB bats were released.

Okay, the "All Metal" part may be good enough for the umps around here.

What I've done in the past whenever a metal bat has been in question (example: Reaper BCT) was to print out the bat's specs from the manufacturer's website.

Will the Anderson site explicitly state that the NanoTek is a 100% metal bat? And maybe it could also explain why the company decided to call it an "All Metal Composite"?

I apologize if I'm nit-picking. I know this is going to be a great bat -- I just want to be able to use it.

P.S. Is there a time-table in regards to the bat's release?

The "all metal" description will be included on the website and the Product release is later this month.
