Beat the heat 14U tournament in Forney

by sbfanatic » Thu Jul 09, 2009 8:51 am

This should be a real good tournament for NTX. There will be some great match ups especially the Diamonds/Fusion match up. They will meet up on first bracket game Sat at 11:00 am. This tournament will be hard to predict the results maybe with the exception of Travelers-Lusk being in the ship.

Good Luck to all the teams.

I agree tough draw for both teams, the winner gets to play Texas Travelers-Lusk at 8:00 assuming they win their second game. Good chance that both teams will be in the losers bracket by the end of Sat. And then have to possibly play each other again first game Sun. loser goes home.

It appears all eyes will be on the DIAMONDS & FUSION GAMES SATURDAY MORNING!!! at 11:00 am. This is without a doubt the matchup of the day. It also appears that the winner of this battle will also have the good fortune to play THE TEXAS TRAVELERS LUSK one of if not the best 14u team in Texas right now.Blue Angels please do not be offended bUT YOU ARE IN WAY OVER YOUR HEAD weather you face the DIAMONDS OR THE FUSION @ 2:00 pm Saturday afternoon.

Just my opinion but you gotta wonder what the heck the wonderful T/D in Forney was thinking? 3 local teams all Getting ready for nationals lumped in to the same brkt. It is a fact these three teams have been the class of the field most of the season. And instead of meeting up SUNDAY "good for the fans--good for the teams" lets just let them rip each other apart before sundown in Forney Saturday....... I have no idea what you are charging to see this but it will not be enough..........................Way TO SUPPORT THE TEAMS THAT WILL REPRESENT YOU AT NATIONALS.

Now that old BOB has most likley pushed someones button. Heres is something else to stew over I left out Glory WINES on purpose they may be going to nationals but in no way represent the high level of ball that our teams from NORTH TEXAS play.Sorry Glory you guy's have been working hard & have great kids and I respect all of that but true Champions will advance in NORMAL---FROM WHATEVER STATE THAT IS THE BEST....... GOOD LUCK TO ALL IN FORNEY & AT NATIONALS. TEXAS IS NUMBER 1....

THANK YOU

My prediction for this tourney

2nd - 94 Hurricanes
3rd - HV Cobras
4th - 96 Diamonds
5th - Austin Stars-Rivera
6th - 96 Glory

Note: TX Elite-Buchanon could replace HV Cobras as 3rd.

Also, this tourney has a lot buzzing going on (with all the B teams in it, )

Off topic question...

Has Forney grown of the past few years. I remember about 10 years ago, it was a very small area. Good luck to all the teams playing there this weekend.

They've had like 125% population growth in the past 10 years, so yeah it has. It's still relatively small compared to some of the other suburbs closer to DFW (McKinney, Frisco, Plano, etc.) I know what you mean though. I remember passing through nothing but fields and a few street signs on trips to the boats years ago. The complex out there is gorgeous if you haven't been.

I Know the Texas Travelers-Lusk are a great team, but I do not think anyone is giving some of the teams, that they have to play enough credit... There are teams in this tourny that can beat them if they play well. But, it will take getting some breaks to...
