What should you accomplish in a 6 week period?

She will not only come back stronger but with the hunger to play ball at a higher level. ;) That is if she loves the game not just because her parents are making her play. Not a shot at you but there parents out their that do this. :o

It's weird because I had to learn for myself also. If I would have just listened to the older Coaches I would have been better for it. We all have to learn :o :o :o .

I understand that a break is good for the girls. However realistically, how long can a pitcher take off without it affecting her in a negative way???

Depends on the age of the pitcher???? I would at least back them off to lesson once a week for a month. You will see a drastic difference after the time off. Work on conditioning, making her legs stronger but give her shoulder/arm a rest. Just my two cents.....

Just for my own knowledge- (my daughter doesn't pitch) I want to know how often a 10u pitcher should practice in a week? I know of a girl that pitches every day and I just thought that was a bit much. - Do you guys make your girls pitch every single day? - the girl I am referring to hasn't improved dramatically or anything with all that practice- she seems basically the same as the beginning of the summer- might be a little more consistent, but definitely not faster at all.
