So if a team qualifies for ASA and is not going does the next placing team get the birth ?

The Birth is offered to each team in the order they placed until it is accepted. My understanding from a So Cal post was that you had to accept then and there and pay the entry fee. I also heard that if you receive the berth and pass up the berth you are black listed next year and can not receive a berth. I'm sure in Texas we roll a little different but those may be ASA rules.

It is my understanding that you can either accept the berth or not, but if you accept the berth to play in ASA Nat's. and don't go you will then be black listed for a year. If the team my DD plays for qualifies along with TPS (which is pretty much a given), then we need to beg Jody to give up some of that $$$$$ they raised this year.

I would think a 16 hour drive to Johnson city, TN plus reduced hotel cost, food cost etc.... would be alot cheaper then the 13 hr drive to FL, $200 a night condo, etc...... I would think the time off factor would be the bigger deal for the normal working parent... Again if ASA offered a berth at the TX Sting's level of play they'd be silly not to change directions in New Orleons and head a bit north.

If its just a money thing than I am sure something can be worked out. I think TPS is already funded for the next few years
