High School Season

by killerbee » Tue Jun 02, 2009 7:20 am

DD still playing-What a joke! Last week with a 17-0 lead, the coach calls for everyone to bunt. Well there is always a few that just don't seem to care what the coach calls for. They want to hit! Whether good coaching, or bad coaching-players still should do what is asked from the coaching staff.... kids these days feel bigger than the game itself.
Please Coach, bench these kids so we can finish the season early in regionals!

Sounds a little selfish to me. Your DD is on a team. Whether you like the team or not she is on a team and you should root for the kids to do well. I am sure the high school team means a lot to her. If you are so against high school ball don't let her play it next season.

And I'm sure there are a lot of non-travel ball girls on very good HS teams that are out of the tournament who would love to still be playing. You know, for some girls, playing travel ball with the hopes of playing college ball is not in their realm of possibilities for a lot of different reasons. HS ball is what they have, and it's important to them.
