Cleats

What's on your mind?

Thanks for the great responses. I think i'm going to let her decide when she's ready to get new cleats. Well as long as they are not completly bald anyways. ;) Coach 11, if you opened up a womans sports store I would definitly be there!

Someday I'm going to have the money, and the gonads, to open a womens (girls) only sporting goods shop.

In my neck of the woods, it's difficult to find anything but the most basic womens sports apparel. Oh sure....plenty of "casual sports wear"....and a hundred places to purchase a pink baseball glove...but actual equipment for the serious female athlete is in short supply.

Though I've never looked for it, I'm betting I could find mens rugby gear readily stocked before a decent pair of womens sliders.

When you do ... could you please stock gear for gals who are not anorexic as well as having a wide foot so they can stop buying mens cleats ?

Maybe they should have four sections for size? The Slapper, The Battery, SS/2B/CF, and The Power on the Corners sections. My DD has the opposite problem, the Taco Bueno on the corner calls her to see if she can forcast what meals she will be eating next month so they don't run out of food but she still has to roll over her womens small pants at the belt to get them to where they don't fall off

If anyone lives in South OC, there is a sporting goods store basically devoted to girls/womens softball...Sports USA Elite in Laguna Niguel? Hills?. Their website is http://www.sportsusaelite.com, the site has been up a few years & it's showing its age, but if you can get into the store, they have just about everything, or can get it for you. The owner spent about an hour with my DD when she bought a new glove, trying them on, fielding with a few options, and it was only about $100, not the $300 model! Plus, they usually give you a discount once you become a "returning customer". Check them out if you can.

Note the Mayo in that woman's drink holder.

I agree about not having enough large sizes in socks, sliders and pads. I am 5'9 and 145 pounds. I have to look for XL sizes. I know there are a lot of girls heavier than I am. I guess men don't wear socks, because I don't know how they could get them on.
