My secret identity has been revealed! :o

lol, your secret is safe with me......

The real secret is how McCutcheon fared against Noblesville, both Varsity and JV. DD did much better last night against West Lafayette. McCutcheon varsity lost in the bottom of the 7th, but the JV overcame an early deficit and trounced WL 17-7. DD went 3-4 with 3 RBIs. McCutcheons varsity is really struggling with their pitching. Their #1 has been struggling with an injury and is unable to pitch an entire game.

When you really boil it down what is the high school regular softball season?

It is all a warm up till sectionals anyway so does it matter that you lose a game now to a team you may see in the regional because whoever wins that game is going to move on and that is the game that will really matter and even if you lose a game to a team you probably shouldn't have lost to maybe it will make a team better for the tournament.

You can lose every game and still win a state championship. It is a time for parents to complain about why their stud freshman daughter is playing JV. It is a time to bitch about the lack of coaching our kids get from their inexperienced or clueless coaches. Don't get me wrong there are some really good coaches, but it is sad they are so far and few between. It is a time for the clueless egotistical coaches out there to say it is my way or the highway and not put the best interest of the kids in front of their own agendas and that is the worst thing that can happen because all these kids really want to do is represent their school and gain the respect of their classmates for their abilities on the field which is huge to most of them especially the travel kids that work so hard all year long and they should be able to do so without losing any of the skills they have worked so hard at over the winter in preparation for their summer schedule with their travel teams by someone yelling at them to keep their weight back, squish the bug, make a t or whatever other misguided advice they force on them and or tell them you are going to do it my way or you can sit on the bench.

For the non travel kids on the roster it is the same as far as representing their school and also a time for their parents to complain as to why their daughter is not playing considering she has made the local rec league all star team for 4 straight years or the same kid that puts their bat and glove in their bag after the last game of the high school season and doesn't get it back out again till the first day of practice the following season and they don't understand why she lost her starting job to an underclassmen.

Go figure huh??

Sorry all it is a slow day and in the infamous words of Dennis Miller "It's just my opinon folks and I could be wrong."

If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, and talks like a duck, it's probably a duck!!!

You got any property near you cause at least your high school coach knows that a sac bunt, sac fly, HBP or base on balls is not counted as an official at bat. He also knows to start runners on a 3-2 count with 2 outs because you may just score a runner from 1st on a ball hit in the gap.

Wow!!! don't get me started just get me to an ASA event in June so I can socalize with people that get it. Oh by the way I am coming out of retirement next fall so we can have a few last battles before I am really done. Spooktakular one last time?????

Tell Randy hello for me and watch out for those deer trying to commit suicide on your truck.

See you in June if not before.

You and the McCutcheon head coach must think alike. He's said pretty much the same thing to the media here recently.

Alright enough is enough and I just left a voicemail to my uniform guy and the ball is rolling on the new "Is it June Yet" t shirts.

I was challenged and after what I have witnessed in the past two days I will be wearing mine proudly.

I will have a limited supply in the next week so anyone that may want one as well you know how to find me.

Did I mention high school softball politics suck and how many weeks is till high school ball is over.

Bucketboy your post about the regular season, high school politics, coaches(Plug sftbl coaches excluded) parents grumbling are all accurate...but watching a game over the weekend made me smile and echoed your comments about kids wanting to play for their school...I was at a tournament on Saturday hosted by Ben Davis(we were idle due to prom weekend) and I was watching Avon play Pendleton Heights...whenever Pendleton Heights would get any kind of momentum going in an inning, Esparza would just bear down and shut the inning down with her pitching...she would come off the field to be greeted with smiles and high fives from her bench...which in turn would make me smile...Esparza will go off to Butler, have a stellar career as a Bulldog, she may even carry Avon to a state title(not taking anything away from the rest of the team, because they do have some quality players)...but watching a bunch of teenage girls who just seconds before had sweaty palms with their hearts racing a mile a minute embrace their teammate who insured their school a victory was worth the price of admission...anyway, good luck to all high school teams and players...Bucketboy, I hope May 6th is sunny and warm so you can get your Mug N Bun rootbeer and our players have a chance to try and hit your daughter.

Now there's a novel idea your ad didn't schedule you two games on prom day like ours did.

Actually had a player leave in the top of the 11th inning or our 13 inning thriller with Columbus North to go get her hair done for the prom. It's official I have now seen it all. I'll be curious to see what kind of punishment comes from that if any because 4 or 5 other players were either late for thier hair appointments and a couple of them said they would go to the prom in their dirty uniforms if necessary as they were finishing the game. Now that is what I call dedication to the game and to their team.

Stratos will you email me the top pic from your post. I need it as my screensaver on my phone please.

LMFAO!!!!
