What's on your mind?

Don't forget "You ruined my daughter's swing" Parent. Usually a parent & part time hitting guru who's kid was the best hitter in their rec ball league, and is now struggling on your team as you try to get her up to speed on TB pitchers.

Maybe worse than the dad that never played are the dad's that played in 8th grade, etc. or was a LL AllStar.

I have whole families that I avoid. They always run late, are moocher's and have always forgot something. "We don't have Janie's glove. It is in the other car."

DD was unfortunately blessed with her parents genes and has 3.5 speed home to first.

Of course at the end of the day all anyone is interested in is the "centerfold mommy". She makes the rest of the list bearable to deal with.

If we had any of those, I wouldn't be pacing around down the right field line... :P

Come on "Lunatic" Everybody has a "Centerfold Mommy". Look around. When all the dads are wearing sunglasses & sucking in their guts at a 8pm game 50 miles from home. There is one in the area. But be careful. There are also the "I think I'm Centerfold Mommies" out there. These are Peggie Bundy's of the world. Divorced twice, Loud mouth, Heavy Make-up, Open toe heals with construction boot feet, Tight pants with gallons of butt crack peeking at you through a $10 Wal-Mart folding chair. Run & run fast.......

I hate to be the one to point out the obvious ... but 'centerfold Mommy' ain't PM'ing anyone whose user name is "Little Bird" ... I'm just sayin' ...

....As for myself ... I would say I have morphed through many of the descriptions ... at HS games I'm currently the guy with the book but aspire to be Smiley ...

I think there is one 'Travel Parent' that hasn't been mentioned though ... It's ' I have some in my bag ' ... This is the mother that has been doing this so long, no matter what anyone else has forgotten, she always has some in her bag, sunscreen, lip balm, eye drops, bandaids and specialty bandaids, head bands, needle & thread, pencil or pen, knee or ankle brace and ace bandage, rubber bands & paper clips, film, visors, hats, comb, brush, razor & cream, extra seat cushions, blankets, pillows, change for a $50,phone listing of all restaurants and location of all ATM's, umbrella for your lawn chair, tampons & pads, instant skin, she could go on lets make a deal ... :o ... I even saw one that knew to bring 'Fat Doilies' to insert behind her knees when she sat in the bleachers on a hot sweaty day, so the fat from the back of her thighs would not stick to the fat on the back of her calves when she sat down ...

One that hasn't been mentioned is "The Pitching Coach". They show put just before the first pitch to give his stud pitcher a few words of encouragement. They only greet parents with a distant nod and then take their place a safe distance behind but back from the screen. When stud pitcher is blowing the opposing team away they slowly make their way first through the pitches team parents to except all of the accolades for the stud they have created. They then move to the opposing team stands to work the crowd and sign up all of the sibling wannabee pitchers. However, when opposing team is launching moon shots in the next county off of stud pitcher Pitching Coach quietly moves off without saying a word.

Then there is "Biker Dad", the 48 year old guy with the do-rag covering what once was shoulder length hair but now keeps the top of his head from being sunburned. He is divorced from Wannabee Centerfold Mom. He shows up in the 6th inning and talks to no one. Game ends and DD climbs on the back of the Harley without a helmet for the ride home.
