Hello everyone, Happy April fool's day! We are only one month away from the first annual Markie Voyles Project Graduation 5K and 1 mile walk. Although you may not be able to come to Tennessee to participate, there is still time to register so that you can have a participant t-shirt. The race is scheduled for May 2 and is $20.00 to register. The proceeds will be divided 50/50 between project graduation (Senior Class of 2009) and the Markie Voyles Athletic Scholarship Fund. You can either print and complete the attached entry form, or register on line. We feel this is a great way to honor Markie and keep her memory close to our hearts.

I don't know who this kid is..certainly a sad story. More disturbing is that this happens to 40,000 people per year in the United States and too many are young people like this young lady. Can you imagine the outrage if these 40,000 died in one day, or one week, or a month? Because we only hear about one person today and one last week, and one next week, it's all taken in stride as no big deal...and it's considered acceptable! As in "it's the risk you take when you take to the highway".

I would implore all HB folks and those around you to take this problem seriously!!! Take it seriously in the name of Miss Voyles and for the sake of the young people that you tuck in at night.

If you think Joe is a jerk...download the form and send in your donation. If Joe is okay in your book...do the same. Either way, stop what you're doing now...AND DO IT.

When you drive to the park this weekend, take a look over at the young person next to you and imagine your world without her....

NOW, slow down, put the phone away, keep your temper, don't drink and drive...and raise HOLY HELL to those who think losing 40,000 perople a year on the road is okay!!!
