I have seen a few 97 coaches that stand out to me. My question to you would be in what manner--- you are looking for? 
You have coaches that know the capabilities of each of their players, some know the rules better than others, some play and prepare their team for the future, some like to try to rattle the other team to turn game into their favor, some have a better ass.coach, but take the credit for the wins,etc,etc,etc. and then you have those that
will try to win at all cost!!!! So you see, at this level how can you have a best?
Of course, the posters will most likely be posting about their own coach

Thanks, you make some very good points. I am not particularly interested in the trophy but more interested in coaching that will bring out the best in a player and prepare her for the future.

The Best Coach Is;
The one that does'nt- scream at you on the field
The one that does'nt- pull you during a game for making an error
The one that does'nt- sit you on the bench game after game
The one that does'nt- lie just to keep you
The one that does'nt- try to steel players from other teams
The one that does'nt- hold it against you for not being at practice because of school functions
The one that does'nt- cheat (doctor or alter birth certificates,etc )
The one that does'nt- take the fun out of the game
